What is the aim of Living Lab (Water)?
Living Lab (Water) aims to accelerate the commercialisation of new promising water technologies by incentivising their early adoption locally.
How are projects awarded? Who can apply for this funding?
Companies who are trying out the new technology (i.e. the technology adopter and technology provider) can apply for the grants to defray their costs of demonstrating the new water technology.
This grant aims to help technology providers build up a solid track record for showcasing their abilities which can come in useful for future marketing and technology development.
How is the application made?
Singapore-registered businesses and organisations, in the public or private sector, can apply for the grant.
There are two methods of application.
1. The technology provider and adopter may jointly apply for the grant.
2. The technology provider or adopter may first be conditionally awarded prior to the appointment of the other party.
Note: The application must be made before the commencement of a project.
What does the grant cover?
The Living Lab (Water) scheme provides grants to support costs arising from the projects such as manpower, training, equipment investment and professional services costs. Advance payment may also be provided to SMEs on a case-by-case basis.

Keppel Seghers for their membrane distillation technology to produce distilled water for Singapore Refining Company's (SRC) oil refining facility on Jurong Island.

Meiden Singapore Pte Ltd for the Ceramic MBR Demo Plant at Jurong Water Reclamation Plant.

SUEZ for the development of an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)system for water consumption analytics, and an integrated system for storm water network management in Singapore.
